Diligence and Dedication pays off for the Motivated. AMMI’s 11Girls Team won 4x100m Relay GOLD at the 40th Colgate Games, held at Mt Smart from 5th - 7th January 2018. It was a monumental win for Aysha Hussan, Heidi Falaniko-Fui, Jade Nomani and Antonina Wilson who had set a new 4x200m relay record earlier in the season at the Counties-Manukau Junior Relays Championships, narrowly missing out on the 4x100m relay record. Jade Nomani also picked up an individual GOLD for 11Girls High Jump and was Finalist in 200m and 400m, while Antonina Wilson collected BRONZE medals for 11Girls Discus and Shot Put.
EXCEPTIONAL SHOW OF TEAMWORK by our only Relay Team at the 2017/18 Counties-Manukau Junior Relay Championships. CONGRATULATIONS to Heidi, Aysha, Jade and Antonina on representing Team AMMI 11Girls so well. These speedsters were the fastest of the competing 11Boys & 11Girls with spectacular margins in both Track Relays. Track Results: 4x100m GOLD, 4x200m GOLD and a NEW COUNTIES-MANUKAU 11Girls 4x200m RECORD. Field: Discus/Shotput/LongJump - SILVER with Nina 2nd (Discus 30.40m), Heidi 2nd (Shotput 7.87m) and Jade 2nd (Long Jump 4.09m).
